Q1 2024 Snapshot: Top Android Music & Podcasts Apps in the US

In the first quarter of 2024, the Android platform has seen significant activity among the top Music & Podcasts applications in the United States. Sensor Tower's data provides us with a clear view of how these apps have performed in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts observed a revenue trend that peaked in late February, reaching nearly $1.2M. Downloads showed an upward trend, with a notable spike in early March at approximately 144K. Weekly active users steadily increased throughout the quarter, ending with over 33M users.

Pandora - Music & Podcasts experienced its highest revenue in early January at over $2M and ended the quarter with revenue around $1.76M. Downloads remained relatively stable with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter. Weekly active users fluctuated, with a mid-quarter dip but recovering to around 6.3M by the quarter's end.

SoundCloud: Play Music & Songs showed consistent revenue throughout the quarter, with a peak at approximately $113K. Downloads saw a high in late January at nearly 58K. The app's weekly active users experienced a mid-quarter rise, reaching over 1.6M towards the end of March.

Amazon Music: Songs & Podcasts presented a gradual increase in revenue, peaking at $133K in late February. Downloads dipped in mid-February but recovered to over 55K by the end of March. Weekly active users saw a peak at the end of January with over 790K users and ended the quarter slightly lower.

Shazam: Find Music & Concerts did not generate revenue during this quarter, but downloads showed an increase in the final week, reaching over 53K. The app's weekly active users had a declining trend until mid-March, after which they slightly recovered to just below 1M users.
